YEARLING, FILLY AND GELDING DIVISION

Check-in Time – Friday, April 9th, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Judging Time – Monday, April 12th , 9:00 a.m.
Check-out time – Monday, April 12th – Must be checked out by 2:00 p.m.

1. This Division is subject to the General Rules and these Division Rules.

2. All Weanlings to be entered and eligible to show must be the property of the Exhibitor, on feed, and under the daily care of the Exhibitor by October 20, 2009. Each Exhibitor can register two (2) animals, but can only show one. Exhibitor must present a LEGIBLE color photograph of himself and the Weanling at the time of registration. No late pictures will be accepted. Registration will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. DNA will be collected for positive identification. Exhibitors should be present. A parent or guardian MUST be present in order to sign tag-in card and hair sample envelope. ANIMAL MUST BE PRESENT. Weanling may only be shown by said exhibitor during the feeding period. If an exhibitor requires a General Exception Form (refer to Page ), it will be due on the date/time of tag in of animal exhibitor is showing. Each application will be reviewed for compliance.

3. All Exhibitors must turn in a copy of registration papers or breeders certification at the time of registration on October 20, 2009.

4. Weanlings of the following Breed Associations may enter: American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, Appaloosa Horse Club, Inc. and Arabian Horse Association. Either Filly or Gelding. No Stallions allowed! Colt must be gelded by check in on April 9th. If a colt is entered as a Quarter Horse, it must show as such.

5. All Foals must be born between January 1 and June 30, 2009.

6. ALL EXHIBITORS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE ORIGINAL REGISTRATION PAPERS IN THEIR NAME and available for inspection when he/she arrives at the Fairgrounds on April 9, 2010.

7. All Exhibitors must turn in original registration papers and a signed transfer to the Fair Association Office at the time of arrival to the Fairgrounds on April 9, 2010.

8. A current original negative Coggins Test is required for all entries any time the animal enters the Fairgrounds. Colts must have a general health exam from a licensed vet within 30 days prior to the show.

9. No bedding hay.

10. Unethical fitting is prohibited including, but not limited to the following:

a) No change of the natural color pattern of the animal by painting or dyeing is allowed.
b) Any grooming material that allows color to come off from any animal will not be allowed at the show.
c) The addition of any dry soap, dust, hair or hair like substances.
d) The cutting, tearing or gluing of the hide or underneath the hide or removal of tissue in an attempt to alter the shape of the animal.
e) The injection of any natural or synthetic air or gas, solid or liquid under the hide to alter the normal conformation.

11. Only those making the sale will be required to stall their animals at the Fairgrounds after the show. All others will be released upon conclusion of the show AND MUST BE OUT BY 2:00 P.M. ALL SALE ANIMALS MUST BE CHECKED OUT BY 10:00 A.M. ON THURSDAY MORNING FOLLOWING THE AUCTION. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN PREMIUM MONIES BEING FORFEITED.

12. Parents or other Adults will not be allowed to assist the Junior Exhibitors during judging.

CLASS 1 – FILLIES
CLASS 2 – GELDINGS
CLASS 3 – GRAND CHAMPION
CLASS 4 – RESERVE CHAMPION
CLASS 5 – SALE ORDER
CLASS 6 – SHOWMANSHIP

ENTRIES ARE DUE IN THE FAIR OFFICE – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2010 BY 5:00 P.M. WITH A $20.00 ENTRY FEE.

JR. AND SR. SHOWMANSHIP IS OPEN TO ALL EXHIBITORS THAT WISH TO PARTICIPATE. YOU PAY $5.00 (CASH) AT THE ENTRY GATE AND THE WINNER WILL BE AWARDED ALL PROCEEDS AT THE EXIT GATE.
