SPECIAL EDUCATION SHOW Arrival Time: Friday, April 13, 2012 - 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. 1. This Show will be divided into three Divisions:
Ages will be determined as of show date – Friday, April 13, 2012. Student must be a resident of Montgomery County or attend school in Montgomery County in order to enter. 2. Articles can be exhibited only by the maker or producer. 3. All entries must be ones which have been started since April 1, 2011. 4. No entry fee will be charged for this Show. Winners may receive only one cash award. 5. The cost of two (2) pictures will be taken from the prize money. (One for the buyer and one for the exhibitor). 6. An exhibitor cannot enter and/or sell an item in the Special Education Auction and in the Jr. Non-Livestock Auction. 7. The Special Education Show Chairman has the discretion to place any item into any category and/or division they deem fit. 8. Entry forms must be turned in to the Fair Office by Friday, March 16, 2012. NO FAXES WILL BE ACCEPTED. AWARDSA Grand, Reserve and 3rd Place will be chosen from each of the six categories for Division I, II and III. The Montgomery County Fair Association will obtain buyers for all the Grand, Reserve and 3rd Place winners. Grand will receive $250, Reserve will receive $225 and 3rd place will receive $200. Monies will be awarded along with the trophies on Monday, April 16th at 5:00 p.m. Monies for (2) two pictures will be deducted from the winnings. These pictures will be mailed to the buyer and the exhibitor. CATEGORIESDIVISION I, II AND III SECTION A. BAKED GOODS - Cakes from scratch, Cakes from mix, Candy, Cookies, Breads and Pies.
SECTION B. ARTS – Mounted and/or matted pictures; sculptures and constructions. (Indicate whether made with kit or original) Pictures must be either 11”x 14” or 16”x 20” – No other size will be accepted. No photography pictures will be accepted in this category. SECTION C. HANDICRAFTS – Glass craft, dried and/or artificial flower arrangements, ceramics and plaster, leather craft or any item that may not fit anywhere else. (Indicate whether made with kit or original) SECTION D. WOODCRAFT – By hand, by machine, burning, painting. (Indicate whether made with kit or original) SECTION E. CREATIVE ARTS – Wearing apparel (painted t-shirts, aprons, etc.), jewelry, or items made by hand or machine using any type needle or hook, like dolls, stuffed animals, quilts, needle craft, crochet or knit items. SECTION F. HORTICULTURE – Live plants and/or flowers. |
